The Batman ConsultingGroup is an award winning company focussed on cutting egde strategy thinking for companies seeking direction in the estranged world "after midnight".
As our name suggests, we are an alternative group of consultants that think differently! Batman Consulting Group is metaphoric for bats who have to rely on other alternative senses to make sense of the MESS after midnight. Applying some of Otto Scharmer's "Theory U" ideas, we are able to facilitate strategic direction through the process of change.

What does before and after midnight mean?
Before midnight refers to an "outdated style" of strategy based on the flow of available information and how companies plan. In the days prior to information overload, companies had time to digest information, have a greater sense of control, easier autocratic form of management, less change. In this stage learning was far greater than the available information.
After midnight refers to the age of information overload. It's where companies are struggling to keep up with the amount of information available and the speed of change taking place. There seems to be a struggle between the amount of information, the quality of information and where that information filters from. There seems to be a very specific need for learning, in terms of how we manage information by "making sense of the mess".
How does this affect strategy and the way we see strategy?
This now becomes a crucial element of future strategic planning. Its important to change with time and to adapt different approaches to thinking and solutions. Ideal strategy for us means to have the ability to presense future scenarios today. This will help "unpack" the real issues in the world after midnight. These issues will be discussed a bit later.....
What was the point of the exercise?
It was to show that by using new age thinking, via some of the themes and concepts of Theory U; and using models we have already used in strategy thus far, we were able to identify potential pitfalls as well as incorporate new learning for the "new world". As a group this would help us work more effectively through our future life challenges.
